Kevin Spacey is accused of sexual assault in the United Kingdom.

Actor Kevin Spacey has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault by prosecutors in England.

The Crown Prosecution Service's Special Crime Division has authorized charging the actor with four charges of sexual assault against three men, according to Rosemary Ainslie, the head of the division. He'll also face a charge of "causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent," according to the CPS.

An investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department led to the decision to prosecute Spacey.

The alleged assaults took place in London and Gloucestershire in 2005, 2008, and 2013.

Spacey's representatives have yet to respond to a request for comment.

Anthony Rapp, who was 14 at the time and Spacey was 26 at the time, publicly accused Spacey of sexually abusing him at a party in 1986 when Rapp was 14 and Spacey was 26. Spacey is currently being sued by Rapp in federal court.

In 2016, Spacey was charged with sexually assaulting an 18-year-old male, but the allegation was dropped after the claimed victim declined to testify.

In 2019, an unnamed masseuse filed a lawsuit against Spacey, alleging that he assaulted him during a massage. Later that year, the purported victim died, and the actor was fired.

Spacey is an Oscar-winning actor who starred in the Netflix blockbuster House of Cards until he was fired when sexual assault claims surfaced. He was slated to star in Ridley Scott's thriller All the Money in the World but Christopher Plummer was cast in his place at the last minute.
