The appearance of a suicide video on a porn-and-violence website has been linked to the NYPD. Harlem resident Paris Lane shot himself in the lobby of a Bronx housing project, which had surveillance cameras set up by the police.

The NYPD is investigating how the video managed to get onto the website, whether the NYPD was hacked into or if someone from the NYPD submitted it.
The Times notes that the website (described as “the best place to get their fix of sick free adult humor, tasteless (but way funny) dirty jokes, and free video clips that include shocking moments, brutal stupidity, and a healthy dose of hardcore sex”) gets submissions from its visitors.
The suicide video, called, “Introducing: The Self-Cleansing Housing Projects,” has since been taken down.
