In Florence, Los Angeles, a hit-and-run accident that was
allegedly intentional claimed the life of 17-year-old
Matthew Lobos. The victim was killed instantly when he
was struck by two automobiles. But so far, arrests have
been made. Detective Jerry Gibson with the LAPD said that
the incident happened on August 21 at 2:30 am at a
warehouse parking lot on 62nd Street between Avalon
Boulevard and Central Avenue. Lobos passed away just
before three in the morning. Authorities claim that
Matthew Lobos "engaged in a physical dispute" with the
suspects while at an underground warehouse party. Check

Also, the investigators are trying to find out whether this
was a gang-related attack. Lobos' family has stated that the
former was not a part of any gang. Matthew Lobos was
reportedly a senior at Santee High School. If he had not
been killed, he would have turned 18 soon. It is no doubt to
say that Matthew's death has made all his friends and
family saddened. They have fallen into profound grief and
have been mourning their precious' one death on social
media.
The teenager's aunt, Laura Valenzuela, created a
GoFundMe page to raise funds for Matthew's mother. It is
said that the page has raised around $17,000 as of
Wednesday and the numbers are expected to increase in
the upcoming days. Sources confirm that Nicholas was one
of the last people to speak to Matthew. Matthew's mother
warned him against the party, he was supposed to go with
Nicholas. The latter even claimed that his brother was
trying to break up a fight.
Apart from this, it is said that the deceased teenager's
family wanted him to graduate and leave South Los
Angeles. As per reports, Matthew was attending a party
where more than 100 people were present. It was a
popular street racing spot. Detectives have confirmed that
an argument broke out between a few people and one of
them got into a car before driving it into the crowd and
running over Lobos.
